Another problem is to be able to show the students how toothless parts resorbs over time and how this affect the relation between over and lower jaw as well as the relation to close structures. The virtual mouth, is a VR based educational tool for prothestic students. The user can examine the cavity and remove different layers such as the mucous membrane. VRlab has together with the institute of Odonthology developed a software, Virtual Mouth that can simulate and visualize changes in the mouth that occurs during loss of teeth All parts in the mouth is hyperlinks to additional information such as tex, images and videos.
